Nuclear medicine has significantly contributed to the recent advances in the diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis and, consequently, to the re-definition of current epidemiology of the disease. In this Chapter, we will discuss the role of nuclear imaging in the contemporary diagnostic flow chart of cardiac amyloidosis, with special focus on the utility (and limits) of bone tracer scintigraphy. Moreover, potential applications of new positron emission tomography tracers as surrogate of histology in light chain amyloidosis will be reported.
